I’m a passionate world traveler who’s visited 59 countries and counting. I’ve worked in a variety of areas in the travel field including: study abroad advisor, program leader in Europe and Fulbright scholarship program officer. As a travel advisor, I genuinely enjoy helping others craft their dream trip. I primarily book multi-city Europe vacations, Thailand excursions, central and south america getaways and lately I’ve been booking more group trips. About Me:

I was born in Siberia, Russia, and travel has been my passion since my parents took me to Georgia and Abkhazia, and then to Uzbekistan as a child. Although I dreamed of becoming a flight attendant and then a ship captain to quench my wanderlust, my career path had initially taken me in a different direction. After receiving a Master’s degree from the University of Georgia (the state, not the country!), I spent 20 years at top advertising agencies in New York before becoming a Luxury Travel Advisor.

As a Travel Advisor, I specialize in designing tailor-made itineraries to less explored parts of the world. Some of my favorite destinations are those that allow one to get close to wildlife (Galapagos Islands, Borneo, South Africa) or marvel at wonders of nature (Tasmania, Patagonia, Palawan). Cultures different from my own fascinate me (Bhutan, including homestays with 2 local families in remote villages, has been my #1 travel experience to date, and Iran is #1 on my bucket list).

I believe that getting to the destination is an integral part of the travel experience. Having mastered the art of collecting and redeeming airline miles and credit card points, most of my flights (and all of the long haul ones) are in Business or First class for very little out- of- pocket. I use this knowledge to devise the best miles redemption strategies for my clients and advise on best routing, seats, airlines, and aircraft types.

“Jaw-dropping, authentic, gritty, beautiful and eccentric are words I like to experience when I go on my vacation excursions. With Inga my vacations to Vietnam, Laos, Bhutan, and Thailand were all precisely that! We lived with the locals and trekked to Tiger’s Nest in Bhutan, a life-changing experience, chilled with Monks on the Eastern Himalayas, relaxed on a beautiful overnight boat tour of Halong Bay, Vietnam, learned how to cook Lao dishes in Luang Prabang, and even dined at Gaggan, the 7th best restaurant in the world (also featured on Netflix’s Chef’s Table). If you can dream it, Inga will locate it and get you there!” (Edie PM, Los Angeles, CA)

“Inga from WanderWild Travel planned an incredible trip to the Philippines for our group that was the perfect combination of luxurious relaxation and exciting adventures! From ATV’ing through the Chocolate Hills to swimming with Whale Sharks, I had so many amazing experiences on this trip that I will never forget. I’m so grateful to WanderWild Travel for planning this perfect vacation and can’t wait for Inga to plan my next adventure!” (Mary L, New York, NY)

About Me:
I look forward to working with you to create a dream vacation within your budget. One of my passions is planning beach vacations as I grew up five houses from the ocean and the beach was my sandbox. I experienced the beauty of the sand and the sea and have been to many beach resorts in Mexico, the Caribbean, Hawaii, Costa Rica and Fiji. Consequently, I can guide you in choosing the right beach destination for you. I also enjoy developing itineraries for stunning ocean and river cruises, tours and packages to Europe, Alaska and other havens of your choosing. I’ve been a travel advisor since 1989 and have been working independently with The Travel Society since 1993. I have traveled extensively and have knowledgeable contacts that are experts in many locations. I am detailed oriented and pursue perfection as client retention and referrals are paramount to me.

About Me:

About Me:

I have been a Travel Agent since 1993.  I book both corporate and leisure travel and have extensive experience booking domestic as well as international travel, including air, hotels and cars, rail, packages, tours and cruises.  I also have valuable experience booking groups for a variety of purposes and to various destinations.  I am a certified Aussie Specialist (Australia) and Kiwi Specialist (New Zealand) as well as an Accredited Cruise Counselor.  I have also obtained my “College of Disney Knowledge” certification, identifying me as a Disney Specialist.  African safaris have become a passion as well, after having gone on one myself in Kenya in 2011.  My very favorite destination, for personal travel as well as booking for clients, is the South Pacific, particularly Australia and New Zealand.  I backpacked through Australia and NZ for a year back in 1990/91 and have returned to Australia three times since.  I returned to New Zealand most recently in April 2009.  I have also attended numerous Aussie & Kiwi Specialist Conventions.  I am very familiar with these countries and am comfortable creating any personalized itinerary there.  I also have an excellent relationship with a wholesaler for Down Under.

Of-course I book many other destinations besides Down Under, particularly Mexico, Hawaii, the Caribbean, Disney vacations and cruises.  I also enjoy working with groups such as family reunions, clubs/common interest groups and destination weddings.  I find working with a travel advisor is especially beneficial for groups, having one point of contact and an experienced advisor familiar with group needs and procedures.

Client Quotes:

” Sarah Bender has been the best travel agent I’ve had in a long time. I travel extensively and using her services has been a “no-brainer” for me. Sarah was very quick to pick up on my habits and has always been very thorough in her research of great deals given my expectations of flight times, destinations and pricing. She is very personable, always recommends the best package, while respecting my requirements. Above all, she is

extremely patient in dealing with clients like myself, as I make plans at the very last minute and change itineraries frequently—never once did I ever sense her annoyance. She is my travel agent for both personal and work travels. I have recommended her services to the company I work for and they are extremely happy with her services. Her fees are inexpensive compared to the amount of leg work she does for you. Each time Sarah comes back with a price, I am confident she has done her homework—and that’s what matters—the bottom line!” — Samantha F. Melbourne IT

“ Since April 2000, I have relied on Sarah to make my travel arrangements. She always responds quickly to my questions and requests and is fantastic at keeping all my idiosyncrasies in mind so my itineraries help me to stay sane during my travels.  In complicated trips, she is adept at finding a

reasonable plan that fits my requirements and is at a low price. She is always professional, thorough, and easy to work with. In conclusion, I can highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, friendly, and extremely competent travel agent.” — Edward K. Dept. Nuclear Physics at University of Colorado

About Me:

I have been in the travel industry since 1990.  I have extensive experience with corporate and leisure travel.  It is my goal to offer my clients a high level of service with a very personal touch.

Having access to the latest and best technologies and products helps me to attend to every detail and every budget, assuring my clients a wonderful travel experience!

Client Testimonials:

Tamera Hoyt of The Travel Society has worked with our company for some 15 to 20 years with absolutely superb results. Her work is entirely responsive to our travel needs, and we depend on her advice without question. However, she really shines when it comes to tailoring personal requests for exciting vacation arrangements. She knows the adventure and luxury cruise business; and cuts through all of the promotional stuff to provide recommendations for exciting experiences customized to your personal desires. Tamera is a valuable resource for both my company and my personal travel needs!

Doug Porrey

“People ask me constantly… ‘Why do you use a travel agent?’…. I don’t, because Tamera Hoyt is no ordinary travel agent, she is a business partner!

I can’t imagine attempting to do what she does, on my own. For the past ten years I have never been disappointed, never been “stuck”, and NEVER had to talk to an airline… because she is such a professional… we now use her for all of our family travel as well!”

John A. Jenson
